The Friends of Coralville Lake are currently engaged in the following projects: 

1. veterans Trail Restoration: replacing of the pathway, updating the railings and restoring piers.

2. Mid River Area Cleanup: restoring the mid river area to a prairie and trails for users.

3. Fishing Pier at Tailwater: We have purchased a new ADA approved fishing pier and it has been installed at the tailwater pond. Next step is to put in gates to keep the water level higher and stock fish for fishing derbies.

4. Building a certified firefighting crew to burn the prairie areas around the lake.

5. Restoring the prairie around Cumberland Ridge

6. Establishing events like Music at the Gorge and the Halloween Dam of the Dead 

7. Supporting the master plan update

8. Troop 2000 Scouts: Eagle Project

9. Horse trails restoration project

10. Save the lake campaign
