FoCL Partner List
The FoCL mission is to work with local organizations, local businesses, and private individuals to assist in the management and stewardship of the Coralville Lake area. To this end, we have specific agreements with partner organizations. As a central entity, FoCL is able to identify opportunities and share resources across organizations. We currently have agreements with the following organizations:
The Iowa Coalition of Off-Rode Riders (ICORR) is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization formed to promote, preserve, and improve mountain bike trail access in Iowa.
The Iowa Snowdrifters is a local snowmobile club that promotes snowmobile safety and maintains local trails. Over the past several years they have created and maintained over 220 miles of snowmobile trails.
Iowa City Disc Golf
The Iowa City Disc Golf Bulletin Board is a Facebook group for disc golfers in the Iowa City area to be able to communicate about what is going on in their region. There are posts about Turkey Creek, Sugar Bottom and the Peninsula.
Lakeview Off Road Riders
The Lakeview Off Road Riders are a non Profit group of off road enthusiasts that enjoy the sport of off road riding and driving. They welcome everyone with a positive outlook for off road riding to join their club and donate in anyway they see fit. The club maintains a 147 acre off road park near Solon, formerly known as 600 Acres, now named Lakeview OHV. The property is leased to the State of Iowa (DNR), and owned by The Army Corps Of Engineers. The park has motocross tracks, an endurocross course, side by side courses and 2 childrens areas for 100cc or less machines. There is also a mixture of wooded and open trails. The soil is challenging and can go from deep mud to dry hard packed clay to deep soft sand all on the same trail on the same day.
